Ranong, Thailand
I live in Bangkok, but return to my hometown of Ranong, on the Andaman Sea coast, about every year. It offers tranquillity, fresh air, delicious spicy southern Thai food, terrific hot springs — and is a great alternative to more touristy spots nearby like Phuket and Phang Nga.
